I quilled this impromptu work months ago. I just thought of making a fresh and vibrant card for a very special baby boy, who was born this year. This is his “welcome-to-the-world” card. Made it like a tableaux in the naive manner (I suppose), as no planning was needed for this one. It needed to be quite spontaneous. It reminds me of those days when I was frequently given the task of decorating our classroom’s notice boards by our teacher. These things do come out unconsciously. I don’t know whether that is advantageous or not, but I like the colour scheme on this card now.

I am a self-taught designer-maker based in the U.K. I am interested in the inherent beauty of textiles and paper. I describe myself as a peripatetic maker of things, given my number of skills in crafts. Having used paper and textiles longest, these tend to feature on my works quite heavily.
