I found this blast-from-the-past crochet amongst my stuff today. I thought I’d take a photo and share it. It’s called the ‘Pineapple Motif’ among crochet experts and had its heydey during the 60s and 70s (if I am not mistaken), when arts and crafts had a resurgence. I first saw this motif on crocheted curtains my mum made in the 80s. This is my little nod to those memories. Sweet, happy days.

I am a self-taught designer-maker based in the U.K. I am interested in the inherent beauty of textiles and paper. I describe myself as a peripatetic maker of things, given my number of skills in crafts. Having used paper and textiles longest, these tend to feature on my works quite heavily.
