Who doesn’t like a hanging basket of flowers? They are so full of optimism and brightness that they are practically greeting one with a ‘smile’. For these two pieces, I thought of ‘suggesting’ a hanging basket, instead of quilling an accurate representation. I think it works. Spot the difference – one is in green and the other is in brown.
I am posting these in their unframed states, as I couldn’t wait to share them. They measure 18 cm x 18 cm, so they are kawaii, if I may say so!
I enjoyed making these flowers. It was fun arranging them and deciding which colours ‘bounce’ off each other. I seem to be drawn to yellow these days. A sense of optimism, maybe? Either way, there will be more flowers to come.
