I have made this birthday card for a special person. Sometimes, the best way of ‘composing’ a layout is through simplicity. And sometimes, the best inspiration is right in front of you staring you in the eye.
The sun had a particularly strong light when I made this card and my early roses were starting to bloom. Hence, this rose card for a fantastic lady who deserved a birthday treat. I am also showing here some fringed leaves. Not done this for awhile. Simple snips, really do add a subtle dimensionality. Note to self – must do more fringed leaves. Finished the whole thing with the greeting using a Copic brush script pen. There is another potential project lurking in this technique, which I shall explore in due course.
