Bespoke Wedding Gown

This gown was designed and made in 2011 but I have never posted it here. The ensemble is white duchess satin with a tulle ornamentation incorporating a crochet motif based on a trail of ‘invented’ flowers. The dress skirt is at mid-thigh level and flares (a tulle underskirt or petticoat allows for this volume). Below is a detail of the crochet work on this dress. Each flower motif is pain-staking-ly appliqued after construction, by moi. They remind me of jelly fish viewed from when the viewer is underwater and they are above with sunlight beaming on them.
