Cerise Gown

This is the cerise gown complete. Materials used were a cerise duchesse satin and a matching soft tulle pleated as a bodice overlay. The whole dress is a tailored pattern using dart manipulation. The skirt was gored and flared. This means that the dart lines of the skirt were used as seam lines onto which a ‘flare’ was added to flare the hem of the gown. I shall post full-length photos once they are worn at the wedding. I think we’ve achieved a sophisticated silhouette and a chic look. The bridesmaids and the bride were all pleased!
