I am currently working on a series of dresses for bridesmaids. The wedding colour/motif is cerise as exemplified by this tulle. It is so saccharine, it sings ‘girly’ and ‘wedding’ just on its own. That is not a bad thing, of course. Pink is a colour that should be celebrated, that is, there should be a ‘Pink Day’, preferably in the summer when everyone and anyone can go out in pink regalia of any kind. A day like that would make me smile. Anyway, here’s a sneak peek of the bodice pattern (one of them).
The other bodices will be strapped numbers similar to the flower girl I did earlier. The skirts, however, will have simple flared silhouettes (not the same as the flower girl’s bias cut round, and in cerise satin, not white). Once the tulle overlay is prepared it will look like this.
