Patterns

Finished carding a wedding gown’s patterns today. I get more excited when a pattern is ‘carded’ (transferred onto cardboard) because its the record of the final garment itself. I’m already building a small catalogue of it! Anyway, I digress… Next steps… I am now ready to start tailoring the garment using various interfacings to shape the whole dress. After that, I Will then need to start bias cutting and hand pleating masses of chiffon to be shaped according to these pattern panels. Only then can I start assembling the pieces together. Getting there. Slowly but surely.
